# Directions:

01 - Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9-inch round cake pan with parchment paper.
02 - In a small bowl, toss the sliced plums with 1 tablespoon of sugar and set aside to macerate.
03 - In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, ground almonds, baking powder, and salt until evenly mixed.
04 - In a large bowl, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar using an electric mixer or whisk until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes.
05 - Add eggs one at a time to the butter mixture, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla and almond extracts.
06 - Add half of the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, then pour in the milk. Add remaining dry ingredients and mix gently until just combined.
07 - Pour batter into the prepared pan and smooth the surface. Arrange sugared plum slices evenly over the top and sprinkle with sliced almonds.
08 - Bake for 38 to 42 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean and the cake is golden brown.
09 - Let the cake cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
