03 - 3 tbsp unsalted butter
04 - Zest of 1 lemon
05 - Juice of 1 large lemon (about 3 tbsp)
06 - 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
07 - 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
08 - 2 tbsp reserved pasta water
09 - 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
10 - Salt, to taste

→ Garnish

11 - 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
12 - Extra grated Parmesan, for topping

01 - Fill a large pot with water and bring it to a boil. Stir in 1 teaspoon salt. Add pasta and cook according to package directions until al dente. Before draining, reserve 2 tablespoons of pasta water. Drain and set aside.
02 - While pasta cooks, melt unsalted butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant, taking care not to brown.
03 - Stir in the lemon zest and juice, ensuring ingredients are well combined.
04 - Transfer drained pasta to the skillet. Pour in reserved pasta water and toss thoroughly to evenly coat pasta with sauce.
05 - Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese and freshly ground black pepper onto pasta. Toss until cheese melts and sauce develops a silky texture. Adjust seasoning with salt as needed.
06 - Plate pasta promptly. Garnish with fresh parsley and additional Parmesan if desired.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • The lemon-butter sauce clings to the pasta like magic, balancing tang and creaminess in every bite.
  • You can have dinner ready in fifteen minutes, and cleanup is a breeze—my favorite kind of meal win.
02 -
  • If you skip reserving the pasta water, the sauce won&39;t stick and you&39;ll miss out on that creamy finish.
  • Tossing the pasta in the skillet instead of just pouring the sauce on top makes every bite pop with flavor.
03 -
  • Always warm your serving bowls first&8212;the pasta stays hot and the sauce doesn&39;t seize up.
  • Microplane your garlic for extra fragrance, or mash it with salt before sautéing for deeper flavor.
